Testimonials:
"Laurianne's Body Brilliance treatment with Ortho Bionomy was subtle but powerful for realigning my body, physically and energetically. I enjoy her gentle, intuitive way and clear explanation of things. I am a "Less is More" kind of person and if you are too you will want to book a session!" JB
"I love and appreciate Laurianne's bodywork because the gentle way she approaches me, my body and what's going on for me gives me a sense of safety and relaxation. I find massages and bone-cracking too jolting and frightening. After a session with Laurianne, any pain I had is gone or greatly diminished. My body tingles with a sense of lightness and new found awareness. I have a little scoliosis in my spine and she intuitively knew how to address other parts of my body which surprisingly brought relief to the held tension in my back. Sometimes I fall asleep on the table - a rarity for me.
I look forward to my session with her with a childlike delight!" TK
“Body Brilliance! it’s a beautiful gift you have to offer to this planet! My session was comfortable and quiet relaxing.
It was gentle and I really appreciate how it “tunes in” to the body’s voice and wisdom.” MT
“Easy and simple. no fuss. personalized attention.” LC

Laurianne Fiorentino has been a certified Ortho-Bionomy® practitioner since 2006. She created her own Bachelors Degree at the University of Massachusetts by combining Performing Arts (classical and jazz music theory and practicum, theater) with Business Management and Administration, Native American Studies, Dream Studies and Accounting. Her goal was then and now to entrain the brain towards a more balanced right-left hemisphere orientation. She felt that a traditional major curriculum was not geared towards brain integration and expansion. Laurianne then entered into a successful music career performing throughout New England.
In 1992, Laurianne relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico and became immersed in the natural high desert environment - listening, watching the light change, and exploring the multi-cultural milieu of the Southwest and reflecting her discoveries through her emerging original music. Her debut solo live concert recording of songs earned her a successful two year tour through five countries' worth of international festivals and concert halls in two hemispheres of the earth. The stress and adventure encountered on the road alone left her with questions about how to recognize and manage stress, conflict and exhaustion. Fiorentino dove into Ortho-Bionomy® study because of its focus on the space between the "seen and unseen" worlds.
She continues to articulate how making connections can bring about subtle yet profound change in herself and in the world around her. The key concept for her work in Body Brilliance is Integration - and the space between what we consider separate entities is not empty and without meaning - as in music where silence binds all sound and gives it meaning.
Her practice can involve off-body as well as touch, overtone singing and bamboo flute toning.
Ortho-Bionomy® approaches the same attentiveness and openness called upon to play improvisational music and match harmonies and phrasing with another musician and vocalist. In this way, Laurianne has developed a sensitivity beautifully equipped for this kind of gentle yet deep bodywork. Ortho-Bionomy® recognizes that "less is more" and the value of emptiness - like the silence between notes in music. A few precise words can say so much more than a paragraph of intended articulation. The nervous system is so sensitive that a small amount of contact and reconnection can bring about deep change.
Through reconnecting pro-preceptors ( the web of tiny nerve endings which convey connection, time and space) the principles of Ortho-Bionomy® indeed were found to articulate precisely the kind of living matrix Laurianne began seeking when she designed her bachelors degree many years ago.

Personal Approach
"Ortho-Bionomy® is, for me, a way of beholding the natural world and all its elements.
I began studying when I found it addressed relationships within and around the body.
I am always curious and learning about how seemingly separate elements relate to each other and affect each other.
Language and how it's used can also frame a subject in a way that sheds new light on old topics.
Modalities of therapy can be observed as conversations between client and practitioner.
As a musician improvises, my OB practice is a kind of impromptu body exploration with the client.
The body 'knows' how to communicate what it wants.
Sometimes we forget. The body's preference shows up as comfort,
as 'no pain', as a deep sigh of relief. We look for ways to feel good.
To remember the brilliance.
We move away from pain.
When we know where comfort is,
the body knows exactly how and where to find relief.

OB can facilitate a body's ability to relax, let go, feel safe, feel heard and supported.
In this way it's an excellent companion/helper for those exploring and practicing
Yoga, Pilates, Chiropractic, Counseling, Surgery recovery and other paths
towards wholeness or healing requiring flexibility, balance, release and grounding.
Trauma, injury, scars (emotional & physical), aches, pains, stiffness,
anxiety, restlessness, surgery recovery, and poor circulation
are some conditions served by this approach.
Where gentleness and caution are called for,
OB can approach when other methods are too invasive or too vague..
An OB session lasts about an hour.
The client remains fully clothed.
The session may or may not involve physical touch,
depending on the client's needs.
The session may or may not involve speaking together.
The client has an opportunity to learn some OB self-care -
how to use OB techniques for relief outside the session.
The client is the master of the session.
The client, and the signals from the client's body,
guides what happens next.
Muscles are controlled by the nervous system.
The nervous system is extremely sensitive.
Force is not needed.
Less is more.
No pain - no pain."
